Heating Induction Services, Inc. is primarily known for Forging and Melting coil repairs. However, we have over 70 years of on staff experience in the coil repair industry and can take on any manufactures coils to be reconditioned. HIS is an industry leader being one of the first companies to develop the Nylon dipping process for winding insulation. We are the first to develop a Tabless skid rail system allowing rails to slip in without ANY mounting needed. We are one of the only companies to use Rectangular copper tubing exclusively on all coils improving the efficiency and longevity of the windings.

Our Open construction design uses high temperature end boards and three maple supports to LOCK the winding in place during the casting process. This ensures that the winding has been positively located during the casting process yielding even refractory and thus improving coil life. Refractory is only poured on the ID eliminating excessive refractory over cast-block designs and reducing repair costs drastically.

Casting coils is a specialized art form. You don’t just mix a bag of mortar and poor. Precise mixing using the proper machine eliminates air bubbles and ensures that all the fibers are mixed thoroughly, along with using the correct mortar for the application based on temperature and usage helps ensure that we are building the most reliable and durable coils available today.

Drying refractory is critical to coil longevity. Most of our customers are aware of the curing process where refractory is cured with a part at 1200 F on the machines for 30 minutes until ALL the water is driven from the coils. This process takes up needed Production time, HIS offers a full Refractory Curing Service where we cure the refractory for our customers prior to Shipment. Consult our Staff for Details.
