Our Latest Creation, The Ultra-Match II Power Supply.
We began our development of high frequency induction systems using IGBT’s almost 10 years ago with the creation of our Ultra-Match I IGBT based Power Supply. The early systems were developed for the 30-80 kHz frequency range with Power Sizes of 10 kW, 15 kW, 20 kW, 30 kW and 50 kW, and proved to be a great alternative to other types of induction equipment in that frequency range.
Over the past Four years we have developed that technology into a comprehensive line of Low to High Power, Low to High Frequency Systems. They have Rivaled our Auto-Match I SCR based Systems and are trying to make them Extinct. The UMII IGBT power supply can operate at 100 Hz, 180 Hz, 300 Hz, 580 Hz, 600 Hz, 1 kHz, 2 kHz, 3 kHz, 4 kHz, 5 kHz, 6 kHz, 7 kHz, 8 kHz, 9 kHz and 10 kHz. In power ranges from 50 kW to 1500 kW to date and growing. The versatility is endless.
The latest development is our IGBT line is to produce multiple power outputs from the same source input. (Example) three coil induction forging line with each coil having its own power draw capabilities so that end coils can act like soaking coils and entrance coils can deliver heavy power. Also on the forefront will be selectable frequencies for this power delivery system. (Example) Want the entrance coil to operate at 1 kHz while the second and third coil operate at 2kHz? Just select it and it will happen.
Currently in South Africa is our Auto-Melt II, IGBT Based Dual Melting Power System. Twin outputs each rated for 600 kW 600 Hz, Input rating of 800 kW Max Power Draw. Customer can Melt with 600 kW on Furnace 1, once at temp can Hold with 200 kW of power at Furnace 1 and Melt in Side 2 with 600 kW.
Being built for a Customer of ours in Canada. 1-System providing enough production to operate two separate up-setters. One up-setter will heat ½” to 1” and needs to be a 100 kW 10 kHz while the other up-setter will heat 1 ½” to 2” diameter and needs to be a 250 kW 3 kHz. Solution. 400 kW Line Draw rated machine with Dual Outputs to two remote load matching heat stations. Heat Station #1 will be 440 V, 100 kW, 10 kHz. Heat Station #2 will be 800 V, 250 kW, 3 kHz. Power Supply will come On and run independent powers, and frequencies to each system.
The UMII IGBT Power Supply System is a State of the Art unit using the latest technology in both the power circuit and control. The systems are parallel tune outputs and can be configured for any standard load voltage required (440/600/800/1000/1250 V). The UMII units have a Standard 6-Pulse rectifier that can be upgraded to a 12-pulse if need be. Higher power systems are typically 12-pulse units. |
